Turkey appears out of nowhere and bangs on glass door to the deck. Dog doesn't know what to make of it. Me neither.
Kerry Blue Terrier, sitting and watching, except no eyeballs are visible. #dogsofmastodon
Happy to see my new story, Long Goodbye, up in the February issue of Broken Words. This magazine is laid out beautifully and the other pieces are great. https://www.beyondwordsmag.com/online-store/Beyond-Words-Literary-Magazine-Issue-33-February-2023-p519475199

Beyond Words
Trey, my 4-year-old Kerry blue terrier. No eyeballs visible, but look at those pearly-white lower incisors. Can't have everything.

Introduction time:

I'm a semi-retired cardiologist who tries to write short stories. I have had a few published, and can usually convince myself that my writing skills are improving. I was born in Canada, near Toronto, and lived in Montreal for 17 years. I now live in San Francisco and west Sonoma County with my wife Bobbi and Kerry Blue terrier, Trey. Pronouns: he, him. Socialist, sentimentalist, #wine, #dogsofmastadon, #Europe, #Ukraine, #medicine
