Dear all,
Unfortunately, the CC has decided not to put the "Yes, But" proposal forward as an option in the November 1 vote. I'm not aware of the reasons of this decision and hope clarifications will be provided soon. In any case, I would like to thank all the DiEM25 members who helped discussing this proposal and worked on it! It gave rise to a great exchange of ideas that I hope will be carried forward in the future.
Democratically yours,
Wessel

Article 13 of the current copyright legislation proposal from the European Commission would result in de facto ubiquitous Internet content filtering. Basically, this would kill the Internet as we know and empower autocratic institutions – whether corporations or governments – with absolute control over nearly all human communication. #fnf17
Re: internal tech at DiEM25 (an issue I’m not directly involved in & never had authority for), as I mentioned in my talk in Passau, the next step you have to take is simple:
1. Put all DiEM25 code on public source control (including the code for the voting systems). Ideally, a GitLab instance under source.diem25.org.
This will reduce the truck factor, provide transparency (especially essential for voting code), and allow others to help.
Once this is done, let’s chat about step 2.
