I imagine most people have moved on, by now, but removing the note the someone's following you seems…unhelpful?
Like, I don't mind that the button, now, says, "Follow back," (I, actually, rather like that) but that button, alone, isn't as intuitive as to what's going on as the previous label that straight-forwardly told you, "This person follows you."
Not something someone can't get used to as they come to expect it but, I feel, objectively not as good as the previous…

A (primarily) backend dev. of 7+ (going on 8) years though with frontend experience, as well (HTML, CSS/SCSS, & JS entirely familiar with and ~3 years of some React).
Primarily have worked with Java/Python and have maintained an API before; plenty familiar with REST APIs.
