Random Facts About MeI'm a Targaryen, Gryffindor who does not support Rowling, very anti multi-level marketing, not a morning person, love espresso, hate the cold, write songs about my exes, and my latest pet peeve is people using the word "journey" for absolutely everything.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but..

β€œYou are not naΓ―ve because you didn't see the ways they were going to hurt you. You are a trusting person who believes in good, & can't fathom doing to others what they did to you.
Your empathy & compassion were not the problem. Their behavior was. Accept this truth & carry on.”

So until right now in my bio I had that I'm #antiMLM which has been brought to my attention is commonly also used for anti #MenLovingMen, which I'm definitely not. I am #AntiMultiLevelMarketing. I apologise to anyone who may have been hurt by that, and I've changed it now. I fully support LGBTQIA+ and want to be the best ally I can. 🌈

Someone on a video just commented that it is a *bad strategy choice* for trans people to "rush" their liberation, and just said the gay people took 40* years *on purpose* because we didn't want to rush things and...I....just...

To anyone wondering: the long fight for equal rights isn't long because we're taking our time? It isn't a strategy choice to do two steps forward 1 (or 3) steps back, it's the result of bigotry.

Every single group fighting for their equal rights wants those rights granted as of *yesterday*, not in some fictional future when the time is right.

Ye gads, someone needs to get me a new internet, this one's gone bad.

*40 years came from the commenter, the struggle for queer rights has been going on - with wins and setbacks and everything in between - for as long as there's been queer oppression, and in fact is *caused* by oppression, because you don't have to fight for rights you already have, eh?

Just got into a Canadian standoff: we both reached a set of double doors at the same time, and we each tried to hold it open for the other person to walk through. It was tense.

But seriously, I have some theories on why so many white people consider being called "white" is racist.

Or "reverse racist".
Including people who would (otherwise?) consider themselves "progressive".

1. It reminds them that theirs is just a point of view, not some magically "neutral" perspective.

2. It reminds them that they DON'T actually "know everything".

3. It reminds them that their viewpoint was shaped by a whole goddamned system of bullshit.

4. It reminds them that we are NOT having some weird "soul-to-soul" moment, and that I am a Black woman looking at them and placing them in a whole rolodex of bullshit, based on what they're ACTUALLY SAYING.

5. It makes them feel judged.

Thoughts?

Did you know? Most of the noises in your home at night can be easily explained:
- haunted wood
- potato fairies
- interdimensional Bigfoot
- ghost dinosaurs
- goblin problems
The writer's strike is funny, because the bosses are like "writers already get paid sooooo much!" but their strategy is "we'll wait a few weeks until they are homeless and destitute."

Welcome to my kingdom, to a whirling Wonderland
Give your mind to me, that I might help you understand
Give your heart to me, that I may take it by the hand
Give to me your life, your love, your hate, and all you've planned

Sale down and down a sea of gold
Come see what treasure it may hold.
