@NaliniMcM Thatcher doctrine - to which this government is beholden - believes that negotiating with Trades Unions represents an existential threat to a Tory government. The only, inevitable, response from the the Tory Party will be to attempt to crush the union and the strikers. It’s not capable of any other measure.

Two Penneth 🔶I know from my mailbag that this is an issue a lot of constituents feel very strongly about. Today I presented my Bill to change the voting system and introduce proportional representation. I’ll be working on this over Christmas before publishing the full Bill in January.

The fact that someone who won’t vote for Corbyn refuses to vote for Starmer also shows just what a pit Starmer has dug for himself, both from the political and personal points of view.
@tommyndavis1952 Many non Christians completely misunderstand why many people profess to be Christians. It has nothing to do with charity and caring for others.
It’s all about a hierarchy of importance, authority & deference, people knowing their place in society, accepting their lot in God’s order of things with good grace.
