Mick Lynch is right – the BBC has swallowed the anti-strike agenda of the Daily Mail

The RMT leader says the broadcaster has taken the rightwing press’s line when it comes to workers’ rights. He has a point, says Guardian columnist Zoe Williams

@NaliniMcM Thatcher doctrine - to which this government is beholden - believes that negotiating with Trades Unions represents an existential threat to a Tory government. The only, inevitable, response from the the Tory Party will be to attempt to crush the union and the strikers. It’s not capable of any other measure.
@FascistCentre US Air Force General Curtis Le May used to argue for a pre emptive nuclear strike on USSR. He said that - if at the end of it all there were two Americans left alive and one Russian - he would regard that as a victory.

The fact that someone who won’t vote for Corbyn refuses to vote for Starmer also shows just what a pit Starmer has dug for himself, both from the political and personal points of view.

In a general election, I struggle to know who I would vote for

@tommyndavis1952 Many non Christians completely misunderstand why many people profess to be Christians. It has nothing to do with charity and caring for others.
It’s all about a hierarchy of importance, authority & deference, people knowing their place in society, accepting their lot in God’s order of things with good grace.
@BruceBee Sad news indeed.
