So @geerlingguy would a new Snapdragon SBC hobby board or Compute Module format be something to lust after? If MSOFT can do their version of Rosetta for Windows, the idea that Wine/Proton can as well will make the SBC a mighty fine hobby device.
@geerlingguy what makes more sense? Rewriting MS DOS to address ARM that Raspberry Pi uses or use a translation later like Box86?
@CraftComputing @geerlingguy just thought of the perfect Collab between other Jeff and Best Jeff for Best Jeff's new studio/office. A rack mount KVM and pi setup so he can chose to run whatever Pi he wants from the Original to Pi5. Set a space in his corner of unloved computers so people can experience the evolution in performance of the SBC.
@CraftComputing I know we are less free here in the People's Democratic Republic of European, but the government has anti syphoning laws where important sporting events can not be cable. I don't think it has been updated for streaming but there is also a threshold of importance like State of Origin, AFL/NRL grand finals and the cricket test series.
@CraftComputing I checked in the only Netflix that matters (Aus), some Kelvin timeline, the TV series and some Prodigy.

@CraftComputing as a citizen of the pirate nation of Oz, they solved the piracy issue in Australia by opening up streaming to us. They then went out of their way to ruin it by expanding the number of providers, limiting the content available and making the experience worse. This allowed piracy to reenter the market being the provider of what you want, when you want it in the format you desire.
Finally got Peertube set up, the fact that even both Mastodon and Peertube use ActivityPub, they don't interconnect (or if user auth does, I did not find it). I know some YouTubers use Mastodon but apart from @veronicaexplains I don't know if they use Peertube. Any idea @CraftComputing @geerlingguy

In terms of Google Targeted Ads, having YouTube Premium expire a week before payday has been a nightmare.
Ironically there is a targeted ad platform that actually gets me to consume ads, the Gmail App on Android generates ads that gets me to engage. Yet YouTube has my full usage data and yet generate garbage ad serves.
