The Insane Engineering of MRI Machines
The organ is probably more than 110 years old, made in America and imported to Towoomba. I have had it for 38 years. When I was young I played it a lot because it was my main keyboard. It has moved with me seven times. You can see that only one pedal is working. One of my housemates repaired the other one 20 years ago but it broke again a few years back. I don’t think it was rare or unusual enough to be worth fixing.
Today I said farewell to my pedal organ with a plagal cadence. Don’t look at my hands!

Disgraced former Prime Minister Scott Morrison has denied allegations that he is dressed as a sun bear at a Chinese zoo, describing them as “disproportionate, wrong, unsubstantiated and contradicted by clear evidence”. In a fierce speech from the Sun Bear enclosure of Hangzhou Zoo in China, the former prime minister doubled down on his previous criticisms, saying three of the key allegations against him – that he had dressed up as a Chinese Sun Bear, repeatedly pretended to a large number of innocent zoo visitors including many distressed children that he was a Chinese Sun Bear and that he had ruined a rented Sun Bear suit by stretching it around the tummy regions until it was undeniably baggy, were wrong.
The solution to my fifteen minutes of debugging MIDI keyboard issues was to plug it in.
Great. Google Chat is so useless these days that it can’t send SMS if the recipient doesn’t have wifi or phone data.
My wife is reading some job applications. Pro-tip: if you duplicate a template to customise it, remember to delete the template part when you’re done.
