Was talking with my friend about Platinum games earlier today, and he pulled out this banger chart he made himself. So, I come here to share it:
Okay this 9 games thing that's been going around is pretty fun. 9 games is never enough, but I followed my heart and filled in the 9 that first came to mind in my favorite genres. Some real formative stuff in there for me.

Since I've seen this post like a dozen times today already (I'm in several mecha-loving communities 😆) y'all are gonna have to see it too!
On the work again to making Infantry tokens for Battletech. Current first draft of what they should look like is here. I'll make several versions of infantry platoons, carried by several types of APCs, on foot, riding alien beasts (hell yeah dinosaurs with lasers!) and with field guns and artillery.
Yesterday, Battle was Teched!
That poor Catapult learned what happens to a missile boat mech when faced with Clan mechs. It got hunted down into the back corner of the map.
The mission was to prevent a pair of heavy mechs to cross the field, under protection of the three Clan Wolf mechs. The IS team was comprised of a Battlemaster, Catapult, Shadow Hawk and Locust. Even though I gave them the absolutely overpowered Battlemaster ClanTech refit, they ended up losing, as after the Battlemaster was destroyed, they no longer had the firepower to fight back. It ended up having it's right torso repeatedly hit, the dice kept coming up 6... and then it got it's head blown off.
Still, it was a fun session! We taught another player to deal with BT Classic, and he enjoyed it.
Went out to play some Battletech yesterday, had a lot of fun even if just one more guy from my local group showed up. The game shop was packed with all sorts of tabletop gamers and we got an extra guy come up and ask to play with us so we taught him the game, seems like he liked it! Building a community for our little nichr tabletop wargame is hard work done slowly.

And, to complete what's been a nice day with good news, I also finally heard back from the guy I ordered my BT minis from, and he just shipped them! He sent pics of all the mechs that he sent me, and he added two extra miniatures to apologize for taking so long. He said he was adjusting the models so they don't leak resin and have better supports. From the pictures I can already say I'm happy with the results, they look great!
I got an extra light mech, and two Banshee assault mechs, one with a sword. That makes the shipment of 14 minis, alongside the two I already have at home making the 16 minis I was intending for a reinforced Company!
