We are going to see a lot of this: people using the referendum campaign to promote their own agendas; campaigning for a "united Canada" on the basis that their preferred remedies for "addressing separatist concerns" are adopted. And if they are not? The premise of all of this
Mr. Andrew Coyne is unimpressed with politicians โ of many stripes, but in this case specifically the various conservative leaders โ using unity to push their personal, partisan political agendas.
We're also unimpressed.

As the Right Honourable Stephen Harper shared in February โ this nation is bequeathed to us, and held in trust for the next generation. We must improve it, make it better and pass it to those that follow us.
Separatism spits in the face of this national project.
So it must be rejected.
