I’m quite sure they did something about the hitboxes already at some point. I replayed Scholar, and at least the Seducer Pursuer does not teleport you on his sword anymore.

DS1 was way worse in that regard anyway if you ask me. The greater problem I see with DS2 is that many bosses are way too easy. There are really hard ones, especially in the DLCs, but way too many hardly fight back, even deep into the game
