In 1976, my daughter st the age of 4, saw the Sandy Duncan and Danny Kaye version of Pinocchio and demanded that we “call my name Pinocchio!” Apparently innocence and imaginative play are impermissablevin their warped world view. A wooden puppet — horrors! And what of all the 1950s girls who galloped around my grade school playground pretending to be horses? I would hate to live in the tiny, constipated brains of these book-banning dullards.
