Dear Algorithm,

Give me stories with depth, ideas that challenge, horror that’s clever, fantastic worlds, discussions that make me think twice, and give me hope during dark times. Bring on the books worth devouring, games worth getting lost in, and, of course, a generous helping of cats.

The dust of this US election is still settling, and to me, this election was more than just a contest of candidates. It was a referendum on the direction Americans wanted their society to take and who they wanted to be.

To my American friends – I mourn with you, and I feel your pain. I do the same to my many friends around the world whom this will directly and indirectly impact.

As Martin Luther King Jr. once said: "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope."
