Regis are open for NLS - New Librarians Symposium. It’s lowish cost and on a weekend to try and make it more accessible, I had a sneak peak at the program yesterday and it’s legitimately good - but if you want to wait for that before registering keep an eye open next week :) https://alia.org.au/Web/Web/Events/Event_Display.aspx?EventKey=NLSXI

Many of you know that I am interested in ways to build collective power for positive social change. You also may be aware that I really dislike seeing people do the same thing over and over separately when they could pool their resources and do it more effectively together.

But most of you probably don't know I'm on the board of the Commons Social Change Library, (https://commonslibrary.org) which aims to help with both of these things!

Social change movements usually focus on immediate tactical considerations and often when a campaign finishes, a bunch of knowledge disappears and has to be learned all over again the next time. The Commons Library exists to solve that - making case studies, tactics and templates available for anyone to access freely.

This work needs resources to keep it going! You can donate to support the library as a once-off or as a regular donor, here: https://2025-eofy-appeal.raiselysite.com

Donations are tax-deductible in Australia *and* in the USA.

Does anyone have an openly licenced photo of the new library in the art gallery of NSW by any chance? #LongShot
