A few comparison shots of the newest X-Wing and previous X-Wing designs from LEGO. They both have strengths and weaknesses. The new design is smaller with less detail, and I don’t like how high R2 sits, but it’s also less expensive and I think it has a better wing mechanism. The older set is bigger and more detailed, but was also more expensive when it was new and has a rubber band based wing mechanism that wears out.
