If you're in the Northern California #BayArea, one of the studios I attend is having a First Anniversary party. Members (like myself and my partner will be selling #ceramics), and I heard something about free onigiri.
#Mudworks Studio in #ElCerrito at 2 PM to 5 PM 5/10.

These are the #ceramic #petbowls that I finished for a commission. One rabbit named Coco, and another named Frog. I was really happy that the little 🐸 #sculpt survived considering my mudkip one did not.

When there was a need, there was a will. The #cats needed some new bowls, and I decided to make and #sgraffito them. Cheetara always gets zoomies, so she got the wheelie. Lion-O got #Lion-O. And Stubs, got to be The #Quiznos Stubs - from that crazy hamster commercial. I was very happy with them.

The next thing that came out for me (as I was waiting to make more stamps), was me experimenting with using colored slip that my partner made and carving through them. This was a tattoo that a close friend of mine had - and was a nice step in other surface design while waiting for stamps.

The next stage in my journey was to figure out how do I want to learn and incorporate surface design - because painting glazes was not easy. So I began to design 3D models of stamps. And I started by going to online maker spaces to print for me, and eventually decided to get my own 3D printer.
At this time, my partner and I were also considering getting a cricket machine to make stencils for her.

After I realized that glazing is NOTHING like painting, I was trying to experiment with different ways to do surface designs with stamps or rollers. Designing them in CAD or buying them from the store.
And the next thing I decided to throw was this very heavy dice tower with rolled on brick.
