i got prints of my comic and a couple of my non-crappy portfolio pages today... gonna reward myself by drawing self indulgent charm art
- stopped by his house because he had to drop off his keys for his wife
- In front of his house was a life-size halloween werewolf
- me: “You still have your halloween decorations up?"
- Prof: “Oh no the neighbors bought that after halloween at CVS bc all the halloween decorations were 90% off so the werewolf was only $7, so there are a bunch of random werewolves in our house (apartment? multiple people are living there?) now. I wanted to buy one for myself but my wife wouldn’t let me"
- Took a ride w/ my Senior studio professor an some other students to art gallery
- Prof went on a huge ramble while we were driving about how “not to trust ANYONE in the art industry” because it’s one of the few industries around where people make contracts and stuff without writing it down, and when people DO write contracts down its usually over drinks or not enforced, there’s an imbalance between people in need (artists) and people with power (curators, people who own galleries)
