Apple's greed seems to know no bounds, now putting the squeeze on creatives.
Also see Apple now trying to extract their fees from WeChat mini programs (https://9to5mac.com/2024/08/02/apple-trying-to-pressure-wechat/). Will my bus and train fares now be 30% higher? Is that a hill they're willing to die on? If WeChat can no longer update their app, then no Chinese will buy an iPhone.
Even Apple has a WeChat mini program where they sell hardware. Will WeChat have to pay another 30% back to Apple for these purchases?

Nitpicky, but I wouldn’t use the subjunctive here. Subjunctive is for “supposition contrary to fact”. Office _has_ remained relevant, so it’s not contrarian. I’d go with “was”.
