@baymud yes, for every feature they added it seems they removed and equally useful feature instead. Not as cohesive as the og but a great synth nonetheless.

@miketorr most music software I've used you define an initial BPM, meter, and key for the project. Seems like software should use the key to decide whether to show sharps or flats.

@heidilifeldman is this sustainable? It costs $3/yr per user to run already? so far it's still pretty dead here. What happens when activity picks up and there is actual traffic/usage?! What's that going to cost? Who is going to pay when traffic increases 10x? 100x?
@chrisg @aral where do you draw the line? A corporation is a collection of people. The accomplishments of large collaborative works aren't worthy of free speech?
OSS has such a good concept of "free" -- as in freedom -- and that is why it is so successful: it can be freely used in the real world. So strange for an OSS project to them reject that paradigm.
@paulg if Google decided to unilaterally remove links to their competitors they would be in a boatload of legal/regulatory trouble. I don't see why others like Twitter aren't held to the same standard. At any rate, not being able to link to sources/information stifles its users' speech.
@taylorlorenz to be fair she's a total hack and has published falsehoods proven wrong again and again and again. I don't think she should be suspended. But she shouldn't be taken seriously either.
