@technocounselor Agreed. It doesn’t get any better on the fifth reading. Oh that archway with the veil. On a happier note, isn’t the dramatized version just delectable?
@JonathanMosen Jonathan, congratulations to you and your family. This is precious! I hope it is only a matter of time until you and Bonnie can make the Long but important trip back to New Zealand to meet that tiny new edition and celebrate. Sending best wishes and many congratulations to you all.
@JonathanMosen Would love to see a future webinar comparing accessibility of cloud VOIP phone systems in 2026. As traditional copper wires have been cut over the last decade, most Enterprises as well as small and medium businesses are fully turning to cloud phone systems to maximize employee productivity in the office and on the go. Popular platforms like Ring Central, Verizon One Talk, Twilio, Vonage, and Zoho Voice - just to name a few, have fundamental gaping accessibility shortages. The accessibility for these apps is currently so broken that blind employees can hardly use them to make, receive, and track calls during the course of their business day, let alone administer or manage these services for their organization. Digital transformation should present freedom, not barriers in workplace environments for blind people, who often excel in communications jobs when accessibility is present and prevalent. Some of the above plowed phone systems had fair accessibility at some point throughout their existence, but in the last six months, as in the case of Ring Central, the accessible nature has completely deteriorated. Others, like Verizon, have never been accessible throughout their life cycle. Thank you for posting the article about AT&T!
@JonathanMosen Apple same-day delivery is the best! Before the cutoff times, for nine dollars, Apple will bring virtually anything in stock regionally. What improvements do you anticipate in the new AirTags?
@JonathanMosen Thanks for the absolutely fabulous show last night! I share your persistent determination to make technology do what I want it to do. I was excited when you and Bonnie did get up on the roof. Congrats, and keep up all your good work! It warms many hearts that you are all set up in the US. Happy new year!
@JonathanMosen #MushroomFM, I would also enjoy the audio tour of the Maryland Mosen Mansion! I’ve been devouring all the content regarding Joshua AI and your home automation journey. I just had the Enterprise grade Ubiquiti Max equipment installed throughout the house. Fantastic technology! I think the hardest part is micromanaging the contractors and spending the time interfacing with them to get things exactly right. Happy New Year, Bonnie and Jonathan!
@DavidGoldfield @JonathanMosen @technocounselor Same thing happened to me early this morning trying to select three shots in a Starbucks drink on Uber eats. It allows even numbers only. My wife says when I do quadruple or more, I’m a bit out of sorts. So, DoorDash got my morning Starbucks business today.
@JonathanMosen Just started these new dramatized versions last week. If someone does install the Audible app on Apple TV, and it indeed plays in Dolby Atmos, would you please post and let us know? That would be worth the time if it works. Sonos needs to enable it in their native Audible support.
@JonathanMosen Remembering that Bonnie insisted on a traditional coffee maker amidst all the other smart connected things, which model and coffee method have you chosen? Of all the topics covered the last decade or so, I can’t ever remember hearing dialogue about accessible luxury coffee makers friendly to the blind community without sacrificing quality. Also if I may, to preserve the value and the aesthetics, did you use any Sonance products to hide Sonos in the ceiling or walls ? to be heard but not seen by the ? sighted?

@JonathanMosen Oh, please do several episodes on this topic. A portion of the blind community may wish to emulate all that you have curated through this project, and for those who aspire or dream, it will further motivate their entrepreneurial spirit. Another case for presenting your design is to help other blind people who might wish to get into the home integration business. When I read your initial post on this earlier, I put off my post-Covid refresh of our smart home until yours was nearly completed, so that I could piggyback off your Designer and the specific tools you have chosen. Why designed something from scratch when the master has already built the foundation of fundamentals and infrastructure? I’m going to Hire Patrick Weaver and his organization to subcontract with a local firm in Columbus to direct my redesign with the accessibility measures and the combination of tech-stack you curated. The way you have integrated the door cameras to generate visual descriptions, that is next level stuff. The fact that you have pieced together an accessible alternative to Control4 and Crestron will pave the way for other blind smart home technology enthusiasts who want to leverage the iOS ecosystem and all compatible products in our own homes. Delving into Josh AI tonight.

We have hospital-grade humidification in the winter and central dehumidifiers in the summer due to dust allergies, so i’m hoping we can API into the Trane HVAC app, which is also uncommonly accessible. Congratulations to you and Bonnie on everything you have done this year and on your new home. Many thanks for moving here to the US and optimizing countless organizations and their technologies to keep improving accessibility for all of us to succeed!
