@beaveinflow My personal favorite are the anti-government libertarians who opt for the "Don't tread on me" vanity plates.

"I'm so anti-government, I paid the government extra money for my special license plate!"

@SmudgeTheInsultCat I really thought this was headed toward a Yakov Smirnoff joke.

"In Russia, horse eat *you*! Heh. Heh. Heh."

The Missouri AG’s anti-trans “emergency” rule has been blocked for at least the next two weeks under a ruling from a Missouri judge today. More at Law Dork: https://substack.com/profile/2269625-chris-geidner/note/c-15472250

BREAKING: A state judge in Missouri just issued a temporary restraining order halting enforcement of Attorney General Andrew Bailey's “emergency” rule severely restricting gender-affirming care. The anti-trans rule is now blocked under the TRO for the next two weeks, through May 15. A hearing on the preliminary injunction request, which would block the rule during the litigation with no end date, is set for May 11. The judge could extend the TRO if a ruling on the PI can’t be reached by May 15. (While similar in effect, the main practical differences between TROs and PIs is that TROs are of limited duration and cannot generally be appealed whereas PIs are not of limited duration and can be appealed.) @Popehat Few things are more frustrating than watching the usual Twitter suspects rouse the masses into thinking a court case is more than what it is.

For months, these people convinced the Very Online Left that this case was about democracy, that Dominion was going to act for the good of The People, and that Fox News was finally going to get its comeuppance.

Same people who promised that Robert Mueller would save us all and that Donald Trump would be doing a perp walk in Manhattan. 🙄

@DaveRussell @SmudgeTheInsultCat That's totally different! These new laws ban public drag performances. Ronnie here was merely *wearing* drag while doing a performance.

See? Totally different.

@[email protected] @RollingStone I'll just state the obvious: a lot of people having a lot of opinions about charges that have not even been filed and a case who's evidence isn't really known to the public yet.

"These charges and this evidence which I am not yet privy to are a joke!"

@ProPublica Bare minimum: Require cops carry the equivalent of malpractice insurance that will pay out in the event of a lawsuit. A shit cop will become uninsurable and unhireable.

Taxpayers shouldn't foot the bill for this shit.

@SmudgeTheInsultCat Does a guy with a spear come stab them in the McRib?

@RobertMaguire
2 states and 6 countries?

Am I to understand CPAC held more events in foreign countries than in the US? That...would actually be very on brand for the Republican Party.

@JoParkerBear Joan Callamezzo approves.
