Incredulation | This is my story, but it's probably similar to millions of of others with one caveat; I'm one of the lucky ones. I made it to the depths of hell and then found the resolve, faith and strength to fight my way back to a beautiful life.https://www.incredulation.com/
@bretcarmichael The printer is awesome. It’s compact, prints beautifully, and never fails to connect to any our devices. But, 2 years ago, HP had a recall on cyan & yellow ink, and for about six months, it was an anchor- no HP ink at *any* price…and no 3rd party cartridges worked due to their inane policy. Their PR Dept never apologized- they didn’t give a damn. Now, I cut the chips out, buy 3rd party ink, and swap them out. I’m sure HP doesn’t care, but I will NEVER buy another HP product.
@bretcarmichael I truly despise my HP inkjet printer. Thankfully, I am able to buy knockoff cartridges from Amazon; but damned if I don’t have to swap out the microchips every single time. What a PIA. Never. Again. HP.
@baratunde Looking forward to 2024, I’m most excited about welcoming a new President who has a strong record in improving unemployment, boosting the economy, shaping effective US policy, providing tax relief, investing in rural America, closing the border, and sensible deregulation. However, I’m least looking forward to the political division that often intensifies leading up to the election. Hoping for a year of positive change and unity.
@bretcarmichael Thanks for posting. I forgot all about my ‘kids’ subscription which came free (but auto-renews) with the Kids Kindle I bought for *me* last summer. I just canceled that subscription. 😉. I’ll keep Prime since I find enough value in the shipping alone (but rarely watch any of their video).
@matthiasott @joe Hey Joe- remind me to show you how I use TCMS to send AppleNews articles to my Kindle, sans ads. Sure, it takes a few steps, but I do it once every few days, and then have a ton of articles to read - blissfully. ❤️😉❤️
@joe good article about this sad subject, Joe- https://apple.news/AVGZl_rJSRGSshzp7HTqIxw
Why Everything at Walgreens Is Suddenly Behind Plastic — New York Magazine

The recent spike in shoplifting is both overblown and real. And almost everyone is profiting from it (including you).

@joe @bretcarmichael Bear in mind the source of the report. Recently, The WaPo disclosed 240 additional layoffs & is projected to incur a $100 million loss in 2023. Previously, Twitter (or X) shared a political stance with MSM; however, Elon’s interventions have shed light on the extensive backstage activities. This newfound transparency on the platform, courtesy of Elon, hasn’t been well-received by the media & ‘journalists’. I’d suggest they have an axe to grind.
@joe Same here, Joe. Our Kia, that friends mocked when we bought it years ago, works perfectly w/CarPlay (and has had zero warranty issues), while our Subaru mocks us. I will *not* buy another car w/o full CarPlay integration (sorry, not sorry, Elon).

@joe Totally agree, Joe. The cost of living has notably increased over last couple years. On a similar note, it must be challenging for individuals in their twenties attempting to purchase their first home in the current market, given the steep prices for entry-level homes (even here in the foothills of north GA) & the high interest rates. Fortunately, our middle child & his wife managed to buy a home a few years ago, unlike our youngest who faces the brunt of today’s market conditions.
