The space felt like it had reasonable air movement, and no obvious smell of smoke; I had the sense that the air quality would be higher than it was in the (obviously smoky) outdoors. Friend showed up with an air quality monitor and showed that the air was only marginally better than outdoors (230 AQI at the time, 218 indoors).
Mostly served to remind me that air quality and smoke smell/sensation are only mildly correlated.
