Art. Cats. Anarchism. Bad puns.

I have a blog! It is a baby blog, but I write about witchcraft, especially as it relates to self-care. Check it out here: @augusto

Je parle français pauvrement. Pardonne-moi: je pratique pauvrement, aussi.

@dillonthebiologist I also enjoyed how most of the papers boiled down too "trans people have mental health problems because of minority stress." Like. Mom. Your side CREATES these issues.
@dillonthebiologist My mom sent me a transphobic article recently. Little did she know that all of its citations were trans affirming studies that had been twisted.

“The blood and the body,” I say, drinking of the shake, partaking of the large mac.

My throat clogs. I gurgle, viscous and purple. The meaty creature stands in the door…

@Draekos Yikes, I felt this.

If you're a #liberal and you're worried about how fighting back makes the left/anyone left of the right look, please consider:

The "public" won't care how we look when we've all been villified by hate campaigns and shipped off to camps.

Finally, if I *am* a better person when I consider virtue ethics, but intellectually consider consequentialism to be more rational, which should win out? A purely philosophical mind might say the rational one, but then again, from a CONSEQUENTIALIST STANDPOINT, the virtue ethics are more ethical in my case????

And this got me thinking: I typically consider myself to be a consequentialist of some variety when it comes to ethics. But I *act* like a better person when I subscribe to a form of virtue ethics (even when it's, like, being the best #witch possible as the virtue).

So does this make virtue ethics superior in this case? Maybe not on a purely rational level, but on a holistic one?

Took a walk today and picked up trash around the neighborhood.

I don't usually do that. Feels kind of futile, and my sensory issues don't like it.

But I was just thinking about how in order to be the best #witch I can be, I need to be caring for the spaces around me.
