@Long_live_rock_n_roll Great range of styles on this album, despite what people say about Quo. I’d say if you took the branding off it and let a music snob listen to it without saying who the artist is, you’d get a very different reaction than you’d normally get by saying “you should check out this Quo album”. Such a shame that 2 of the original members have now passed away without getting the recognition they deserved. I don’t think Rossi is doing anything to help the legacy

@Long_live_rock_n_roll Only saw him once, when he was supporting Quo, and he was great.

@Long_live_rock_n_roll personally I find something to like in all the iterations, even some of the softer stuff. But yeah, the FF era is the best overall. Ma Kelly’s to Blue For You is a serious run of albums.

@Long_live_rock_n_roll A bit underrated. I can see why fans at the time didn’t like it, but IMO there were signs of turning a corner from the style of the previous 2 albums, and the one that came after this was a cracker.

@Nickiquote @Long_live_rock_n_roll Yeah, I agree, although not a direct swap for the ranking! I have nothing against U2, went through a phase of really liking them when I lived outside of Ireland in particular, but I’d rate Rory well above the Edge. Very different styles, obviously, but I reckon Rory was more talented overall.

@Long_live_rock_n_roll how is Rory Gallagher not on that list??? I completely understand that Francis Rossi is missing because he is criminally underrated due to snobbery (and prejudice in the case of people not even listening before having their minds made up for them by the cool kids), but Rory is well known and well respected.
