@crackamphetamine I would expect it to be pretty resilient to censorship, since relays can be thrown up and taken down with no effect on the operation of the network. It would be hard for even a state actor to keep up with that.
I imagine if deep inspection of payloads was being done, a big enough actor could theoretically try blocking the protocol that way.
@crackamphetamine decentralized social network. Like, truly decentralized. People run relays, but there is no account to ban. You're just an asymmetric hash. Messages are relayed by every relay you sub to. Popular with the crypto kids, but a lot of good folks and convos on there.

@crackamphetamine @crackamphetamine It never ceases to amaze me how both sides of the political isle have somehow converged on this notion that making ex-cons lives harder and harder is going to somehow reduce crime.
Doing your time used to be referred to as "paying your debt to society." Now anyone with a record is simply on a lifetime payment scheme.
There must be an incentive to change.
