Governor Abbott of Texas wants to investigate migrant/refugee organizations for causing people to migrate. You may as well investigate EMTs for causing people to need emergency medical attention.
Abbott has asked Attorney General Ken Paxton to investigate nongovernmental organizations, though he doesn’t name any groups or provide evidence of his allegations. NGOs call the move an attempt to criminalize their work.
