The Chinese video game terminology (and Japanese which was its source) is funny: all features, mechanics, functions, modes and designs are "systems", as if no other words exist. Picking up items as you go? Picking System. Release an attack with a hotkey? Hotkey System. Selling at a shop? Shopping System. Getting kicked offline after inactivity? Auto-Kick System. Players get a score? Scoring System. Free items for players? I got a reward from System. Admin changed rules? The System is ruined.

It's the butterfly meme: "any feature in a game" "Is this a system?"
