The first thing in the morning on my personal computer, I check for updates for the web browser and restart it to install them, so I always have the latest security fixes for the most vulnerable piece of software on The Endpoint #infosec
Dicks that are 6–7 🀷 inches around give me this satisfyingly full feeling inside
So that's why they're called D-Sub connectors
at least people in group chats don’t victim blame me anymore for getting harassed and assaulted now that I know it’s because of my demographic preconditions that the harassment and assaults happen and I say that in group chats

I wish I wasn’t constantly bullied and harassed in public due to being a young person of an uncommon skin colour and a bullyable shape

So I found a cricut maker in ewaste. It needs new rollers but appears fine. However cricut are chunts and have locked the serial number out of their eco system. (I presume the previous owner upgraded).

Anywayyyy, one very spiteful detour in software development later and I've found a hilariously stupid way to regain access to the device (and possibly a bit of a flaw with cricut cloud....).

I built using a RP2040 a USB CDC Serial mitm device that emulates the pid/vid ect..., and detects when the serial number is being asked in the serial protocol, replaces that message with the serial number plus 1.

I don't have any accessories for the device so I can't show it off, but it now moves and is paired with my account.

Don't buy basic peripherals that have a #USB-C connector, like basic USB-C flash drives, mice, Logitech transceivers, etc. Because you can always buy an inexpensive USB-C male to USB-A female adapter, but: USB-A male to USB-C female adapters are illegal per the USB Type C spec.

Only buy USB-A peripherals of these basic peripheral types, so you can use them on both modern (with a legal adapter) and older systems. Because otherwise you're buying them only for modern systems, as an adapter that adapts the other way is illegal.
