I see stories about Exxon downplaying the impacts of climate change. I have worked with Exxon and their subsidiaries in the past. My lasting memories from those experiences are around intelligence (they hire brilliant people) and secrecy (they are militant with their secrets). It doesn’t surprise me in the least if they know more than they let on publicly.

This year our family learned to fish for salmon, learned to catch and clean wild salmon, and today we smoked our first batch of the salmon that we caught.

The smoked salmon we made is amazing. We might not be able to bring ourselves to buy store bought fish anymore after this experience.
