I see stories about Exxon downplaying the impacts of climate change. I have worked with Exxon and their subsidiaries in the past. My lasting memories from those experiences are around intelligence (they hire brilliant people) and secrecy (they are militant with their secrets). It doesn’t surprise me in the least if they know more than they let on publicly.
