When I think of what electric car UX could be, this is more of what I think of, not "one giant touchscreen" and some capacitive touch buttons

Jony Ive understands iPhone UX (a slab of glass with no buttons) does not belong in the driver's seat.

@brentsimmons Lovely! Excellent work 🤩

Podcast producers: put up a fucking website for your show, with episode listing.

When I want to recommend an episode to someone, what link do I give them? Apple Podcasts, Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, …?

There should be one independent and canonical link to your work.

Have some self respect!

It still boggles my mind that Xcode's *built in* AI autocomplete keeps suggesting APIs that don't exist.

Like, it's literally sitting on top of a compiler that can determine if an API exists, so why can't it ask the compiler *before* suggesting it?

The entire purpose of autocomplete is to help me find out the real name of hard-to-remember APIs. I'm perfectly capable of *misremembering* them by myself, I don't need the computer to do it for me

I must be the only one who’s actually enjoying the beauty of Liquid Glass on the OS26es. So lickable…
@danielpunkass yes. Imagination is what almost everybody lacks most.
I want ai to condense my mastodon feed’s last 12 hours into one summarizing post of stuff I find interesting
@dimillian I'd love to help
@luqu I could still believe they had something working but just chose to start over—their solutions likely didn’t meet Apple standards. The management change fit that. It’s not that they’re incapable; they just prioritize differently: privacy, safety and accuracy over speed to market—values that, even today, competitors struggle to uphold.
With #WWDC25 around the corner, a lot of folks will be upgrading their projects to a newer iOS deployment target. If you're wondering what new SwiftUI APIs that unlocks for you, I just released something that will help 😎 https://www.hackingwithswift.com/swiftui
