As one of our quieter months, January is the perfect time to work on some of the basics of #mountainrescue .
Today we hosted a training morning with Rescue 936 for rescue team members throughout North Wales.
Training in a comfortable environment like this is invaluable for our volunteers, who frequently work with the aircraft in poor weather and difficult terrain.

I've been a climber for 20 years; rock, ice, alpine, Himalayan, I've had a go at it all. I love skiing best.
I work as an outdoor educator and tree surgeon in North Wales. I'm a member of @TAM_Llanberis and a keen motorbiker.
I'm a co owner of a golden retriever called Nella who loves going on adventures.

@jaz It's a relatively quiet time of year for us right now. But we were out early this morning with #NorthWalesPolice drone unit searching for cragfast dogs on Lliwedd.
We don't usually attend animal rescues, but there was a risk that members of the public would get into trouble trying to reach them.

No big loss really, as our engagement dropped off a cliff when we began posting bilingual content.
We're a mega busy team of volunteers, who don't have much time to post. But we might try and do something a bit different here.
