@Karoli Absolutely nothing about it makes sense. I’m trying to figure out who benefits from this other than possibly Ukraine but I’m coming up empty.

I’ve always suspected that there are people that, given a choice, would rather spend more for something just to say they did. This is confirmed by reading the reviews for the $500 Wolf toaster on Amazon. Many of the reviews say “yeah, it doesn’t work too well, but it’s a Wolf!”
@incitatus where I live there seems to be a new bank being built on every other street corner and I can’t figure out why. I can’t remember the last time I needed to actually go in person.
@BlackAzizAnansi I remember watching it as a kid and thinking “Hey, they never talked about this in school”. I think that may be why I sort of became disillusioned with school in general.
