If anyone is wondering how google is doing, it is giving incorrect answers to the query “How old is the Universe?”

Instead of serving up scientific consensus (just shy of 14 billion years) it is latching onto recent media coverage of a questionable study (tired light, time-dependent coupling constants) claiming a much larger figure.

Notably, it gives me the right answer from an incognito window. But elevating popularity metrics over scientific consensus is a real problem!

Please delete empty, opportunistic magazines created during the rexit

There are a fair number of totally empty magazines created ruing rexit, with no threads, yet a fair number of subscribers (because the name matches a popular sub from Reddit). After 25 years, Netflix will be shutting down its DVD rental service this September - SDF Chatter

The last disc will be shipped on September 29th 2023 after 25 years of service. >After an incredible 25 year run, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down at the end of September. Our goal has always been to provide the best service for our members, but as the DVD business continues to shrink, that’s going to become increasingly difficult. Making 2023 our Final Season allows us to maintain our quality of service through the last day and go out on a high note.
