Mileva Marić Einstein was a physicist born in Serbia in 1875.

We remember her husband, Albert Einstein, as one of the most celebrated physicists of the 20th century, but I suspect most folks haven’t heard of her.

However, Albert & Mileva’s letters & other accounts suggest they worked together on his groundbreaking scientific contributions. They collaborated from the time they met in 1896 until their separation in 1914.

This is her story: https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/the-forgotten-life-of-einsteins-first-wife/?fbclid=IwAR2O8bwlDiEBgJLYbjKo-Kdy_3jhi7tvyCl2edzpzpI_pIcPv7iVOc1zC-E #science #history #HistoryRemix

@MaxPower @dans_root @rbreich yes!!! You are exactly right. One leg of the stool was the integrity of the people elected or appointed to have America or humanity's best interest at heart. We done sawed that leg off.
@ZhiZhu ahhh I see! I think you have many excellent points and are much more gracious and magnanimous than myself.
@ZhiZhu yes you are exactly right! Extremists are just a subset of bigots. I'm new to Mastodon, so I will be learning a lot/annoying everyone for a bit! Thanks for your help🌈
@ZhiZhu I'm wondering why this is covered up with a label saying "post about republicans". Ummmmm, there is no mention of republicans in the post. It could very well be about any extremist group. Am I wrong?

It’s wild that we can see images like this from NASA’s Webb Telescope - galaxies hundreds of millions of light years away, stars being born & dying - and yet carry on ravaging the planet as if it’s not miraculous that somehow, we’re here.

A tiny speck of sand in the vastness of the cosmos. #space

You’ve probably heard of “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” bc of her heroism on the Titanic, but there’s so much more to her story.

Margaret Brown (her real name) fought for workers’ rights, women’s rights, education & even ran for the Senate - before women could vote.

She established Titanic’s Survivor's Committee & helped erect the DC memorial.

And yet, Brown wasn't allowed to participate in the congressional Titanic hearings simply bc she was a woman. #history #women #HistoryRemix
