Do you know how they pop up on your iPhone, and you can read it without opening the app. I’m not sure if that’s a thing, but I’m gonna try. Again, thank you so much.

@acosta I saw that you were blocked from Twitter on YouTube. I closed my Twitter account a few days ago and I am glad to follow you here on Mastodon. I assume that I will understand how do use this app eventually.

@johngreen I’m so glad that you are here. I just started following your brother as well. I just watched your TikTok on how bad things are getting on Twitter. I’m really trying to quit Twitter, but I have no idea what I’m doing on Mastodon.

@Mastodon hello Mastordon! I am a new user, and I joined about three days ago. I am in my 40s and I did have trouble signing up and learning what to do. I am still unsure if I’m using the server part of Mastodon correctly. Because I am searching for popular people or things and cannot find them. That might be because they are not on this platform, or because I don’t know what I’m doing. I have read several articles written in the last couple of days about the difficulty people are having joining the site. So far I like it very much and hope to get away from Twitter. I was thrilled to find Greta Thunberg on the site but so far they are the only celebrity that I have found. Thank you so much for this platform. I hope that I can figure more of it out.

@petergleick hello, I am new to Mastodon and new to following you. Thank you so much for all your information. in 2018 after reading the 2018 climate report, and from other sources such as YouTube, I change my viewpoint that climate change was real and a threat. I have friends that have been exposed to the same false information and rhetoric that I was exposed to. I believe that they would listen to reason. What is a good response or a good resource to counter well, I believe that the climate always fluctuates. One example is the ruins found in Greenland after the ice has melted. They are apparently 500 years old. I was told this is evidence of a natural variation in the climate. Climate deniers work hard to prove as much as they can, and convince us in anyway that this is natural. Of course, I no longer believe that, and I appreciate your help in this case. #Climate.
