Zombie movie where Rudy Giuliani turns into a zombie but nobody notices because he does not look or act any different.
I would say that the only downside to this species (and the Aphonopelma genus as a whole) is that they grow like bricks. I dont mind growing out slings, but this is a case where i would like a spider of some size before i grow old and die lol.
I got a new tarantula! Sandy is an Aphonopelma anax (Texas Tan) that I managed to snag for super cheap. She is molt sexed as female by a reputable vendor and is about 3in in leg span so she is a young girl with plenty of growing to do.
This species has been on my must have list for some time now. People pass these off as a boring brown pet rock, but they have beautiful red, black and tan colors. They are super docile and easy to work with too.#tarantula #tarantulas #aphonopelma #anax

She has a real good example of how algorithms on platforms like Instagram not only try to make you addicted but also divide us even more

I real LOVE the fact Mastodon and most of the Fediverse software avoids this all together

Doctor: You've tested positive for opiates.

Patient: Oh I had a bagel with poppy seeds earlier.

Doctor: Yes well you also tested positive for cannabis, LSD, and cocaine.

Patient: ...It was an everything bagel.

I should add that this was the first time I've rebuilt a computer solo and other than one stripped screw hole in the cable management bar (there is a also a clip that holds it up so its nbd) everything went great. It booted straight up first try, and all the ports and fans are working, so that is a nice accomplishment for me 😀

The cpu cooler was fine for my current cpu but i will need a new cooler eventually anyways so i decided to pounce on a new one now.
New case: be quiet! Shadow Base 800 dx
New power supply: be quiet! Pure power 12 M 1000 watt
And the new cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock pro 5

I didnt set out intending to use only be quiet! Stuff lol, but the case and the cooler i really liked individually, and the power supply happened to be on a reputable list of quality power supplies and it happened to be on sale.

Ive been saving for months to do an upgrade on my gaming computer and today was assembly day! I replaced the tower, power supply, and cpu cooler. The old tower was super cheap back when it was new and is poorly designed. It isnt designed for airflow and my pc runs warmer because it cant get air.
The power supply was decent for its time but i plan on replacing the platform and the gpu in the near-ish future and it will not have the wattage to cut it. #pc #pcbuilding #pcupgrade
