Texas lawmakers failed to pass a bill to improve local disaster warning systems this year

A GOP state lawmaker who represents Kerr County says he likely would vote differently now on House Bill 13, which would have established a grant program for counties to build new emergency communication infrastructure.

@TonyStark

And Texas won’t spend the money on a siren warning system, because it is the work of the nanny state.

Better to die free, needlessly.

I swear to Dog that the Lone Star is their Yelp review.

It is also a local government issue to warn people about weather disasters so additionally fuck off, Kristi Noem and a last fuck off to anyone going on about “act of god.”

I don’t believe in one anyway, but if I did, an act of god should be funding government services and having services that warn people about evacuation in deadly weather. You’re an asshole if you think an act of god includes kid drowning.

If Biden were still President during this flood, the Republican Party (and most of the media and a lot of other people for that matter) would be nonstop screaming about how it’s a Democrat’s fault and saying where is FEMA or blaming a Cabinet member and they would never stop so fuck off, Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz warns against 'partisan games' amid Texas flooding tragedy

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz says it's not time for political finger-pointing after deadly floods in Texas killed at least 80 people.

@TonyStark Apparently Trump voters have to learn everything the hard way and even then some won't.

@TonyStark

I wonder if the surplus flour will make the price in the grocery stores drop.

Haha, I kid.

@TonyStark 💯 It’s batshit crazy that any American actually thinks this pos cares about them at all. He will fuck everyone that gives him the chance completely over.

Trump got 80% of the vote in areas of Kansas that are now being completely fucked over because Trump ended a program that allowed those voters to send surplus grains around the world. He ended it even against the wishes of some elected KS Republicans.

Remarkable that he can do this to his most loyal voters and not pay a political price for it. There’s no “Democratic messaging fix” that gets around this.
