@wion The difference between a comic and a graphic novel is the same as between short stories and novels, or a TV episode and a movie. The comic is plotted to be contained within that 20-30 page range. A graphic novel, if well done, has a longer fuse and a more involved story.
As for the last, if you don't actually NEED the pictures to fully tell the story, then you don't have a graphic novel, just a story that's illustrated.
@voxenbox I get a Moebius vibe from this.
@thor On first reading, I imagined the wrong sort of mice. But, yeah, I remember that stuff. I also remember that the mouse balls were a popular thing to steal in computer labs.
Just watched an episode of Wagon Train with both Lee Marvin and Lon Chaney as guests.

Cost of living analyses, but nothing regarding culture, politics, etc. Also most of these are large City specific, nothing here about small towns.

@thor That's different.
@Are0h @brainblasted Also fine. So I guess it really isn't possible to have a reasoned, mutual exchange of ideas here. I weighed in here because I hoped to really see what others thought. But all I get so far are manifestos and insults. Okay, that's fine.
@GinnyMcQueen @lobster_writer Fine. And I see you never answered my question. Thank you.
@lobster_writer @GinnyMcQueen I've acknowledged multiple times that social progress in this country rarely occurs without pressure from outside the white community. I've also said, though not as clearly as you, that some white people do act altruistically for the greater good. It's that combination of pressures that facilitates social change. US people of color (and other minorities) don't have the power to push thru change on their own.

@Are0h @brainblasted I said that white people gave up power and position "as far as that goes." This is a long way from saying something as silly as white people gave up power.

My greater concern (because all of this is just politics, most of it in an echo chamber) is that last. I've grown to respect your views here partly because you claim to hate it when people fly off the handle when others voice their quiet, reasoned takes on things. But it sounds like you're doing that very thing.
