Just watched an episode of Wagon Train with both Lee Marvin and Lon Chaney as guests.
White people are all prejudiced. So are all black, red, brown, yellow, conservative, liberal, moderate, CIS, trans, gay, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, atheist, animist, pagan, other religious, young, old, ancient, rich, poor, and middle class people. Plus all those others I didn't mention.
What matters isn't whether or not you're prejudiced, but what you do with that prejudice.
#bookcase What's on your bookcase?
So, yeah, for all that and other reasons, writing is a lottery. If I suddenly start selling tons of books, I sure won't quit my day job, because the lottery could move on to somebody else the next day.
I swear to God I'm a minority around here. Is Mastodon almost entirely coders, anarchists, gender fluid and interesting combinations of all? Not that I've ever minded being a minority. What the heck, hanging out with your supposedly own folks all the time can be boring, and limiting.
I remind everyone and their mamas, cousins, friends and pets that I write stuff. Some is free, you know, to suck you in so that you can't escape, like Conqueror's Realm,
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/370503a speculative fiction near future political thriller that was, frighteningly, about 30 years off in predicting a white racist government backlash against minorities in the US. No reviews on Smashwords (where it's free), but check reader comments at my site

Conqueror's Realm, an Ebook by Stephan Michael Loy
In the mid-twenty-first century, the United States goes through a fundamental change. White people are now only the largest minority in America. Will they surrender power to the coalition to follow, or fight “to keep what’s theirs”? So begins a violent game of chess played for the soul of a nation. Conqueror's Realm is a deft warning that there can be no justice unless justice is for all.
This is for my WIP, a superhero story called Voice of the City, so Homeland Security guys, you can go get another coffee and donut.
How many cops do you figure would respond to a phoned-in report that someone plans to shoot up a school? You think they'd send one unit around to check out the place and remain on site, or is it more like cop convention time?
Mu cat came inside 5 years ago, the survivors of a feral cat colony. She’s terribly sweet, her nickname is Kitty Biscuits cuz she nom nom
I just started a Patreon. Help me get the word out? The patron can access two novels and one graphic novel, serialized month to month, plus lots of concept art, finished art, character sketches, and posts on the process and problems of writing, depending on their patronage level. The patron sees all kinds of stuff that will likely never be available anywhere else. Check the site out:

Even Still More Writer Stuff: We need a universal slang style manual, updated hourly. For instance, how exactly does one spell "ho," as in derogatory term for woman (a word I would never use, except I just did)? "Ho" is what Santa says. "Hoe" is a garden implement. "Whoe" or "Who'" would make more sense, but one looks almost like something you say to a horse and the other looks like an international health organization, or a rock band. How does one use such a word without confusing the reader?
