"When my Israeli infantry unit arrived at the first village in Gaza, in July 2014, we cleared houses by sending grenades through windows, blowing doors open & firing bullets into rooms to avoid ambush & booby traps. We were told Palestinian civilians had fled.

I realized this wasn’t true as I stood over the corpse of an elderly Palestinian woman whose face had been mutilated by shrapnel. She had been lying on the sand floor of a shack, in a pool of blood.

For anybody reading that and trying to figure out how to choose between supporting Israel or Palestine, I once again beg you

beg you

not to think of those as opposing choices here. The two sides here are (1) “people who want peace,” which includes many people of many nationalities, and (2) “people who want genocide,” which includes (among others) Likud and Hamas, united in their need for atrocities to justify the total conflict they both want.

That’s the choice. It should not be a hard one.

I think some people have this idea that the next election is going to defeat fascism and then we’ll be done - so all we have to do is once again limp through the next election with a slim majority and then Trump and the fascist GOP will just go away.

No. We’ve let things go way too far. The GOP is a fascist party, they’ve hung their hat on it, & it will not change until after most of us are dead.

Our kids need to carry on the fight which means we include them now, we don’t sideline them.

Fuck, sending you porn that’s relevant to your kinks. Threatening to eat the faces of people who mildly insult you.

Don’t look for ‘I love you’. I love you is just words. Looks for the other actions.

Regular reminder that “seeing both sides” is not a good thing if the debate is about human rights. You should not be able to see both sides if one side wants equality and the other side wants superiority. “Neutrality helps the oppresser, never the victim.”
