Western Massachusetts, USA. I am not particularly interesting, certainly not of any significance. I do like to be nice to people. I find that to be the best way to go in this world. Picture is of yours truly in a sailboat that was saved from the landfill. It returned the favor to me.
A volunteer on the bike path using an electric scooter to ride along as he blows the leaves off the path using an electric leaf blower. This made me smile.
This is what a wind turbine farm looks like before it is built. I took this pic in Norfolk, VA harbor this weekend. The ship on the right with the giant crane is the M/V Orion. If you zoom in, you can see the different turbine sections on the pier. The area covered is massive and served as a reminder of just how many jobs a wind turbine farm can generate.
This is unsettling because this kind of anomaly now makes for a nice day. In a few months, terror. Also, the speed in which we went from mud to dust on the lawn is breathtaking.
It is presently 64F/18C (about 20F above normal) and quite dry in the western Massachusetts region today. One of the little garter snakes that live under my front steps made an appearance to get some sun, much to the surprise of me and the dog. The pup is also panting more than he is used to at this point in the year. “Gonna be a long summer buddy” I said with just a little hint of anxiety. #ClimateDiary
