@welshpixie oh that is nice. Would snap it up if I had the dosh.
@BathysphereHat People also get it from both sides with the "you can feed a family on pennies a day..." rhetoric which is usually based on bulk buying prices but then they're not supposed to buy the likely more shelf stable and longer lasting processed foods and buying fresh foods cheap usually means you eat them on the day you buy them.
@sandradejong Don't know if this counts but sometimes my brain reacts like it's heard a familiar sound like someone saying my name or the doorbell ringing but if I think back I realise the sound didn't actually happen (if I'm distracted then I can end up answering opening the door and finding no-one there before I realise I didn't actually hear the sound).
@laprice huh? No option for winamp music visualizer?
@purplepadma Yeah. Not much fun. My bag ended up in lost and found, but they only opened for people to get stuff back a couple of days a week, so I had to wait a few days. Luckily it didn't contain anything I needed immediately.
@purplepadma I've done that before. Though I prefer it to the time I almost missed my stop, leapt up and rushed off the train and then, as it pulled out of the platform, realised I'd left my bag.
@TQ I don't think they can be a broband unless they have at least 2 actual brothers. So Spandau Ballet or early Sepultura would be brobands, but The Walker Brothers would be a boyband (cos they're not really related).
@Aphrodite I got rid of my mobile phone for about a year around 2008ish, and even back then it was exhausting. Even just on a social level of just explaining I don't have one and people can't text me. I can't imagine how bad it is now when everything seems to include the unnecessary complexity of scanning QR codes or installing hundreds of one off apps.
@ben The fact he has to loudly specify "tea" ahead of anything else suggests that the replicator will respond to "earl grey, hot" by producing a sexy photo of a 19th century Earl or something otherwise.
@jeffowski
The new hires are right.
