I want to host my own instance of #Mastodon on a subdomain of a domain that's already being used with #WordPress, hosted on my dedicated server, using #WHM / #cPanel with #AlmaLinux v9.6.0 and #Apache. On that same domain, I also have a subdomain for hosting #Matomo On-Premise.
Is it possible? Any tips?
This exchange is part of why I started @MarcusBlog — real dialogue, sans algorithms or character limits deciding what matters.
On social media, this conversation would've died in the feed within hours. On my blog, it becomes a permanent asset that compounds—building value for years, not hours.
We're having the kind of conversation Big Tech's engagement metrics can't measure: the kind that actually changes how people think about digital ownership.

It’s only Day 2 of @MarcusBlog and it’s already ranking third on Google for “marcus blog”.
The favicon and description still need a re-crawl, but proof of concept is live.
Turns out, if you “Just Start” (https://marcus.blog/just-start/), things start moving.
Ship. Share. Show up.

Reclaiming Digital Sovereignty

Just Start
A quarter-century in the making — after 25 years of building online, I’m finally starting something personal — a blog to share my journey, insights, and voice.

It all starts with my first blog post: "Just Start"
