I got new clothes for my Sophia in Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines, so I made a new picture of her! :D I'm enjoying my first playthrough too much.

Tried again a little bit different approach by doing lineart with a tool I had not tried out as lineart tool yet. Can't say it's going to be one of my favourites, but with practice it might be useful for pics if I want to do a bit softer look.

I've been listening to "Life as No One Knows It: The Physics of Life's Emergence" by Sara Imari Walker on my daily walks now and I'm finding it very inspiring.

I had not really thought properly about how you could use human creations as a proof for consciousness and that leads to so many other thoughts about the subject... Minds are amazing and it does make sense that they are kind of the source of everything from buildings to tools to art etc.

I finally started playing Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines on Thursday. And... Of course I liked it. Unfortunately I'm limiting my playtime of it to streaming, so I can't let myself just drown in it and emerge after it's done.

Instead, I made a pic of the Tremere lady I named Sophia that I chose as my character! I made a pretty big mess of it, should have gone with more planning and less enthusiasm :D But here she is anyway. I happened to remember to record the process, so you can have that too.

I really, really want to finish this WIP I started today, but it got to the point that I started adding random stuff (like the face) and playing around, which means I'm not going to get any more progress for now. I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it later either, but I still want to share it at this point, because I like it, even if it's not nearly done.

I did a bunch of thumbnails to practice composition and picked the one I used as the basis for this one. The picture is small and doesn't thusly show all the details there, but I went absolutely wild with textures and had a blast playing with everything.

Now that I look at the result, maybe I should have brought the front stuff higher... ah, whatever. It's good enough! It's done!

I figured I need to try to do some lineart practice, since it tends to intimidate me with the precision and everything it requires. So I did some lineart. Then I found a "lasso tool" in Krita (the Shape fill brush that comes in the Krita 3 default resources bundle) and started playing with it to do the colors and shading and I fell in love with it. Still need a lot of practice with it to be able to control it properly.

For the bright green background you can blame @Imperor, since he encouraged me to be bold and make the background green. :--D TBH, the colours of this piece are pretty much my default faves, so, the blame is really my own if it hurts your eyes...

Continuing on in my search of my most comfortable workflow and otherwise experimenting. This time I started with just different shades of blue sketch base that I just painted on. But I think I might prefer doing black and white first and colours later. I don't know. Still need to try things out, maybe forever...
