@Lowie Elledawgg, (luv yer handle) My big brother told me yrs ago that we become conservative when we realize important things in our lives need to be conserved - kids, job, $ etc. & we adjust our thinking + actions to reduce risk to those things. Maybe, but the term ‘conservative’ has been hijacked by GOP types to label same thinking people & groups who are often anything but conservative. QAnon?! Recent misnaming of ‘patriots’ to those undermining democracy is same tactic.

@rkadel42 @TonyStark Rob, I’m a recovering Republican living between Florida & Michigan. Totally agree that we can’t give up on FL. Significant opportunity missed last cycle by not connecting with hispanic population - many who either passed on voting or incredibly - supported FL GOP candidates. So that work needs to happen now to embrace these communities as permanent & welcome participants of the Democratic party that is actually looking out for the people.
@shoq @llywrch @TonyStark Shoq, thanks for sharing - many of us avoided hard truths of social media harassment & willingness of some to act out against opposing opinions. Sadly, from Rush Limbaugh’s rants to Trumps’ divisive rhetoric to threats to Georgia election officials to recent New Mex political shootings - our ability to openly disagree is now more dangerous than ever. Legislation with real consequences is needed to protect against these threats.

Tony, thoughts on Justin Amash throwing hat in ring for Speaker? Didn’t always agree w/his politics but admire standing up to Trump’s GOP very early. Some may remember him crying when his long voting streak got broken (strong men can cry) He took congressional responsibilities seriously & never voted party over country. It pissed off some including DeVos family who stopped $ support. Seems like a long shot but after FOX News rejected the idea - it made more sense…

@TonyStark Beyond re-mapping & other suppression tactics in my Florida we didn’t get the Latino support that could have & should have made a bigger difference. Takeaway needs to be commitment to engage our brothers & sisters more seriously starting right now. Please don’t give up on Florida !
