Ungovernable. Cannot govern.

The people blocking Kevin McCarthy are also largely the ones named as co-conspirators to overthrow our government. All but 2 claim Trump won in 2020 and all the returning members voted against election certification in 2021.

McCarthy himself has been referred for ethics and possible charges for failure to testify about the failed coup 2 years ago. If McCarthy had any integrity, he would have testified long ago and many of those causing this mess would either be under indictment or could have lost their election bids.

McCarthy and the Republican party have cheated and lied thier way into a slim majority. They courted the extreme fringe of an already fringe party thinking they could control them. McCarthy sowed the wind and is reaping the maelstrom, but as usual the Republican party is destroying America in the process.

Tony, thoughts on Justin Amash throwing hat in ring for Speaker? Didn’t always agree w/his politics but admire standing up to Trump’s GOP very early. Some may remember him crying when his long voting streak got broken (strong men can cry) He took congressional responsibilities seriously & never voted party over country. It pissed off some including DeVos family who stopped $ support. Seems like a long shot but after FOX News rejected the idea - it made more sense…

@Snowcat I have no problem with men crying. Bugs me when people make fun of it.

I wonder if he could get votes, though, from this crew.

I think we’ll be stuck with McCarthy capitulating to every gross demand from the wacko caucus.

Democrats get stuck fixing every single mess Republicans make but I don’t think we can fix this one.
