I am looking for a paid and professional illustrator for a new project, and one of the illustrators is with a big artist's rep.
I sent output from Midjourney as something to begin the conversation about what we are looking for, stylistically and wrt the overall concept.
This evidently led to a partial handwringing meltdown at the agency.
If the agencies representing illustrators ain't got their heads around this six months in, I don't think it's gonna be better in a year.
@anildash I was reading recently of just how bad Henry Ford was (and this takes a while) and my sense is that the extremist vacuity we see in tech is maybe not that different from those at the top of any other extractive industry along the way.
Honestly, I don't remember how I could have imagined it would be different with these people, but I do remember thinking it was.
