Storage: 40GB HDD
Display: 14.1 Inch @ 1024x768
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 7500
Optical Drive: DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo

As far as plans go I'm not quite sure yet. Until I have time to sit down with it I may have to add it to my vintage tech display bookcase. My friend @RanuRat was generous enough to gift me a pen plotter, it might serve me well as a dedicated machine for that! Could also work well for HAM radio work.

This beauty just came in at my work. It is now mine. I have claimed it. I saw the parallel port in the back from across the room when it came in and knew it was going to be a fun Monday.

@jackemled Haha it certainly should provide a visual indeed! Arguably our department hasn't put much pressure on the matter since it has minimal impact. But you are quite right, I am sure with proper motivation it could be quickly remedied. I'll keep you posted if we find the cause!

Sooo...we have a vent above our kitchen area at the office. Ages ago we realized there were small dead gnats getting blown out. Maintenance can't find where they are coming from so we decided to put a box on the cabinet underneath to catch them. This was the state of the box today. I emptied it about a year ago and it was similarly bad. I had started collecting them but then decided I didn't need a dead fly collection. I am going to start again.

After relentless efforts tracking the ISS from the 3rd of October thru the 8th, every hour and a half or so from roughly 10 in the morning till 5ish in the evening, I finally managed to get all the SSTV images from the recent series! I have countless duplicates, but I have decent quality copies of nearly every one. Did a couple with a Quansheng UV-K6 handheld and the Robot36 app, the rest were done with a homemade 3 element yagi paired with SDR++, GPredict (for tracking and frequency control to account for doppler shift), and a ClockworkPi uConsole. Big thanks to @RanuRat for the uConsole!
