Avid reader. Dog mom to Finnigan. Too old for drama or bullshit so my circle is small. Not the nicest person you'll meet. Trying to make it through one day at a time. 99.9% of my life is lived without posting about it so much of it may not make sense. I'm living it and much of it doesn't make sense.
It took three hours for my knee to put itself back in the proper alignment. One pop and all is right again. Just one more reminder that I'm getting old.
"Yes. The number I was thinking of was the letter M." #TV #Futurama
Hearing Finnigan growl and bark softly as a warning to someone walking down the street was intimidating to me and I was the one he was protecting. it made me very glad I'm on the list of his favorite people instead of his kill list. Knowing this dog, he has a kill list and a few other lists in his doggie mind. He did his job so he got a "Good boy" from me.
Out of context quote of my day: "I ended you."
Having a difficult time making decisions these days. Oh well. Managed to come up with a plan and put the pieces in place with 24 days to spare so I guess I still win.
Our noisy neighbors were either not home or the noisiest one was elsewhere. it has been actual months since we went a whole night without hearing someone stomping around or moving furniture at 4:00AM. I've forgotten how glorious sleep can be. Last night, I sat here in complete silence simply because I could.
Nine years and 10 "Gotcha days" ago, we brought home an almost two-year-old shy, Boxer mix who seemed to have some things figured out and was yet to figure out others. He quickly settled into this house and our lives. He's been our friend and in charge of us ever since. He has made us laugh and driven us crazy, but through it all, we've been "pack." For a dog I had no interest in meeting after the loss of our other dog and after the crappy beginning he had, I'd say we all won in the end.
Huh. Placed my delivery order 20 minutes ago and it's already being shopped. That's got to be some sort of record.
Me to the dog: "I've been downstairs with you all day. Go watch TV." I meant "Go look out the window" which is kind of his TV I suppose.
sometimes, you can find some gems at library sales....I'm actually almost more impressed that none of these CD cases were damaged and the discs digitized fine. I mean, it's worth $0.20 a CD to find out. this 90's kid is happy, and I'll take what happiness I can find.
